We are Charm's Security Hardware — and yes, we are that Charm's. The one that was on the corner of George and Howe in New Haven for almost 40 years. The one in West Haven for nearly 30 years. Now we're at 185 Boston Post Road in Orange, CT, and we're not going anywhere.

The business is run by the 2nd and 3rd generations of one of the original founding families. The owners — Andy and Joe — work the floor daily. If you have a problem with a lock, a key, a safe, or a door, you're talking to someone who actually knows how to fix it. That's not something most locksmith services can say.


We offer sales, service, and installation for residential, commercial, and automotive needs. We have mobile service available across most of Connecticut, and our in-store team is ready to help without an appointment for most requests. There is always a licensed locksmith on site.

Yes, that's us. We were on Campbell Ave in West Haven for almost 30 years, and before that on the corner of George and Howe in New Haven for nearly 40. We're now at 185 Boston Post Road in Orange, CT, in the Hitchcock Plaza. We moved about 2.5 years ago.


What are your hours? Do I need an appointment?

We're open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Walk-ins are always welcome, no appointment needed for most services. You're welcome to call ahead at 203-795-1100 if you'd like to confirm we can help with your specific need.


Do you make keys on site?

Yes, we cut keys on site every day. We carry one of the largest selections of key blanks in the area, covering house keys, car keys, specialty locks, and more. Just walk in.


Do you install and repair locks?

Yes. We handle lock installation, repair, and re-keying for residential, commercial, and specialty applications. We carry and service brands like Schlage, Kwikset, Medeco, Arrow, and many others.


Do you make car keys and program key fobs?

Yes,  automotive key cutting and programming is done in-house at our Orange location. Due to the wide variety of vehicle makes, models, and years, please call us at 203-795-1100 to confirm we can handle your specific vehicle before coming in.


Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept both credit cards and cash. Contact us if you have any questions before your visit.


Do you sell safes?

Yes, we carry home and commercial safes from trusted brands such as Gardall and AMSEC. We also provide safe locksmith services, including combination changes, lock upgrades, and safe repair for accessible safes.
